JORIE GRAHAM
USA, Laureate 2025
Jorie Graham (b. 1950) is an American poet known for her intellectually rigorous and formally innovative verse, which blends philosophical inquiry with acute sensory experience. Winner of the Pulitzer Prize in 1996 for The Dream of the Unified Field, Graham has redefined the possibilities of contemporary poetry through works that engage with time, perception, and ecological crisis. Her collections, including The End of Beauty and Sea Change, are marked by shifting structures and a voice that questions the limits of language and self. As the first female Boylston Professor at Harvard, Graham has influenced generations of poets while continuing to push the boundaries of poetic form and thought.
